In May last year my shop was indvaded by boys and girls in
the ages 11-12 years old. The idea was to make 2 wall hangings that would
eventually end up in their school library.
They came to my shop in groups of five, plus one teacher. In school they
had drawn their hands on paper and written down their dates of birth and dreams
for the future.
I had prepared the fabrics for background and backing, plus cotton batting,
attached the dual feed dogs on the machines and then the kids were let loose!
They drew their hands on to fusible web and then they could choose any fabric
they fancied from my shelves.
It's so fun to work with kids, because they never hesitate. Almost instantly
they decide what colors they want and it always turns out great.

Some were playing and some were very concentrated. (Now... this was in MAY and
it's not cold indoor... )

As you can see... we do have hair dressers here as well.. but the fashion for
boys has been very long hair lately. I have 2 boys myself and the costs for the
hair dresser has been very low the past year!
