Projects in March 2005

At the Sewing Festtival in Stockholm in the end of February I discovered a new "must have"-yarn... and had to start playing with it right away. The result was... not totally surprising for being me... a hand bag....

I bought a lovely wool fabric at the Sewing Festival and just added the yarn with the Embellisher. However, this yarn is a bit silky and not really the kind that felts down in to the fabric, so I went over it all with a pink metallic thread using the stipple foot on one of my sewing machines... just to make sure the yarn stayed in place... plus it looks good.

And... I have a plan to make something more with this fabric mixed with this yarn... it may sound really mad... but I'm thinking of making a short skirt... and I plan to wear it at the Sewing Festival in Gothenburgh within a few weeks... just for fun... It may be a bit too much... but nobody will miss it anyway!!! Hehe...

So far I have only gone over the fabric with the Embellisher... I still have the stipple quilting to do....
